Boots to Business is a free entrepreneurial education and training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration as part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program. It's designed for Veterans and their family members as they are making their transition back to civilian life. The 2-day curriculum includes steps for evaluating business concepts, an introduction to developing a business plan and information on SBA resources available to help access start-up capital and additional technical assistance. Veterans of all eras, Service members (including National Guard and Reserve) and their spouses are eligible to enroll in classes.
Boots to Business classes are typically conducted on installations for active duty Service members and their spouses as part of the TAP. Reboot classes are also available for Veterans and their spouses and are held at civilian locations.
