Small Business Week starts next week

National Small Business Week

The U.S Small Business Administration Utah District Office is kicking off National Small Business Week with a series of events April 30 through May 5. National Small Business Week is an annual event hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration – each state’s district office throughout the country recognizes their state’s top businesses, entrepreneurs, small business advocates and champions.

Small businesses are what Utah’s economy relies on. The Utah District Office is excited to celebrate their victories and give them the recognition they deserve through a variety of events.

Community sponsors and partners include: Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce, WCF Insurance, Select Health, Utah SBDC Network, GENCOMM, 1 Million Cups Sustainable Startups, Investable, and the Women’s Business Resource Center.

EVENTS

Monday April 30 – Kick Off Event
We are kicking off the week with a collaborative resource fair and mixer including Utah’s premier business resource providers. Join us for free breakfast! Register here.

Tuesday May 1st – Effective Delegation: Making Room in Your Business for Growth
Is letting go of control over all things really an essential part of delegation? Come enjoy continental breakfast while you listen to a panel of women business owners as they share how effective delegation allowed them to invest more time in working on growing their business instead of being busy with daily tasks that can be handed off to capable and trusted staff. Register here.

Wednesday May 2nd – 1 Million Cups Business Brainstorm
We’re going to be sharing ideas, expertise, cups o’ joe, pastries, and more. 1 Million Cups takes place every week in SLC, and this “special edition” is not to be missed. Register here.

Thursday May 3rd – National Small Business Week Awards
The National Small Business Week Awards celebrate small businesses and the people working every day to ensure their success. Join us as we take this opportunity to recognize and empower the entrepreneurs making a difference – the go-getters, the doers, the creators, and the small business champions.
